Keyword match-proximity detection

Hi All,

Can someone help me understand about proximity detection. I mean i want two words to be detected say "company confidential" and "company Private",so i create a proximity matching using company in Set A and confidential and private in set B. Now my question is what is the word distance i have to use here to detect this. Please help me understand more on this word distance.
