Encryption Desktop 10.3.2 MP5 Bricked my Surface Pro 3.0

I need some help.  I have a brand new MS Surface Pro 3.0 running Windows 8.1 that after unboxing it, going through the normal start up routine, I installed ED 10.3.2 MP5 and encrypted the internal HD.  Rebooted and now I get a blue screen stating There was a problem, Restart your PC to try again.  Restarting does not help.  I tried resetting to factory default, but the sequence of holding the volume down and pressing the power button and releasing the volume down button does not work.

This thing is pretty much bricked.

Please advise.
