SEP - Application exception question

Hi

Question about application exceptions.

Im trying to come up with exclusion rules for SQL servers.

Noticed that in MS KB, they also recommend to exclude some processes.

I would like to understand bit more about application exception, before i cosider doing this.

One of the option in application exception is "Ignore". Lets say the app in question is "abc.exe".

So does this mean, whether abc.exe is a virus or not, it will be just skipped in scanning?

Also, if abc.exe is responsible for creating files, do these files automatically be flagged to be excluded from future scans?
