We are experiencing a company wide issue that is forcing us to rethink our use of Symantec Encryption Desktop. Hopefully, someone can help us out since we want to use this product!
After installing encyrpting our user's drives using the PGP software, using licenses they purchased from the website, the users are getting notifications that the license will expire in 30 days. These are not trial licenses, but paid ones that they received in their email. They each have to call Symantec and get a permanant license emailed to them. If they do not, after 30 days, their drive unencrypts and their data is not secured.
As we are in the Healthcare industry and have to contend with HIPAA, this is obviously a huge issue. What is going on? Are the licenses being installed incorrectly? Someone, please help!
